Job Summary
Assist in providing a variety of patient care related duties under the supervision of the RN to maintain nursing care standards and implement Emergency Department policies. Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and effectively implement clinical nursing interventions for cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, orthopedic injuries, and minor trauma. Perform specific clinical tasks including phlebotomy, Medlock insertion, orthopedic splinting, and cardiac arrhythmia recognition while adhering to Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant License requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Less than one year experience
- Basic computer skills
- Medical terminology
- Cardiac Arrhythmia Recognition
- Orthopedic splinting skills
- Phlebotomy/Medlock insertion skills
- CPR Certification
- Cardiac Arrhythmia Recognition Test
- Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant License
