Job Summary
Provide direct care to patients and families in a developmentally, culturally, and ethically appropriate manner. Perform unit-specific treatments including IVs, phlebotomy, 12 lead EKG, wound care, and patient transport. Assist physicians and providers with fracture reduction, dislocations, and cast application while applying splints and instructing patients on proper care. Process written medical orders, label blood tubes, and communicate STAT instructions. Document all care via Point of Care Testing and maintain adequate supply levels. Requires current Nursing Assistant certification and BLS training. Full-time day shift with a pay range of $20.74–$24.46.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant by the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
