Job Summary
The eLearning Developer is the technical backbone of course production, building and maintaining online courses inside LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Brightspace) and authoring tools (Rise 360, Articulate Storyline). Responsibilities include translating design briefs into technically sound, accessible course builds; implementing interactive elements; migrating content from Word/PDF/PowerPoint into LMSs; conducting WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility checks and QA; administering LMS functions (course creation, assessments, revisions) and diagnosing issues; testing new LMS features and integrations; collaborating with Learning Designers and LMS Administrators to ensure high-quality, on-time course delivery. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, 2–3 years’ eLearning/LMS experience, proficiency with major LMSs and Rise 360/Storyline, HTML/CSS skills, WCAG knowledge, attention to detail, independent work capability, and strong English communication; desirable items include H5P, iframe usage, and experience in higher education or professional development contexts.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant bachelor’s degree
- 2–3 years of experience in an eLearning development or LMS administration role
- Hands-on experience with at least one major LMS platform (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, or Brightspace)
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools, particularly Rise 360 or Articulate Storyline
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for troubleshooting and light customisation
- Solid understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements
- Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to managing multiple concurrent builds
- Able to work independently, manage own workload, and deliver reliably to deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
