E-Learning Developer (6 month Contract)

Job Summary

Develop Storyline 360 and Rise 360 learning experiences from approved storyboards and instructional design plans. Produce instructional videos, motion graphics, and multimedia assets for technical and compliance training while applying department branding and accessibility standards. Configure, publish, and test SCORM-compliant courses for the Learning Management System, conducting self-quality reviews and implementing stakeholder feedback. Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate ideation, scripting, and production workflows. Maintain and refresh existing learning content by auditing materials, organizing project files per SharePoint standards, and collaborating with Learning Experience Designers and subject matter experts throughout the development lifecycle. This 6-month contract supports Firefly Aerospace's Talent Development team in delivering scalable digital learning experiences for space and defense missions.

Required Qualifications

  • Articulate 360 (Storyline 360 and Rise 360)
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Canva or Adobe Illustrator
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Desired Qualifications

  • A degree or professional certification in Education, Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Multimedia Production, Communications, or a related field
  • An equivalent combination of professional experience and demonstrated technical expertise in eLearning development, multimedia production, and digital content creation
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Runway or other AI-assisted video/creative tools
  • Cornerstone LMS or similar enterprise LMS platforms
  • Jira
  • SharePoint
  • 3-5+ years of experience developing technical training content, instructional materials, or eLearning solutions, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical operations environment
  • Experience editing instructional video and creating motion graphics
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, Section 508)
  • Proven ability to integrate generative AI tools into content development workflows to improve speed and scalability
  • Experience working in Agile project environments, including use of tools like Jira
  • Foundational understanding of adult learning principles
  • Experience supporting technical, manufacturing, or operations-focused training programs
  • Familiarity with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling requirements, and information security practices within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
  • Portfolio demonstrating experience developing digital learning experiences including examples of interactive eLearning modules, instructional video, motion graphics, or graphic design work
