Job Summary
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment across production facilities in Rotterdam. Diagnose faults, determine root causes, and implement sustainable solutions while preparing, planning, and completing maintenance activities safely. Support plant shutdowns and turnaround activities, work with permit-to-work systems, and coordinate contractors as required. Maintain accurate records, manage spare parts inventory, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in the breakdown service/on-call rota approximately once every 6–7 weeks, with occasional overtime and travel to other locations. Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to solve technical challenges and ensure compliance of safety systems.
Required Qualifications
- MBO Level 4 working and thinking level (Electrical/ Instrumentation)
- Experience in electrical and/or instrumentation maintenance within an industrial environment
- The ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work in a structured and safe manner
- A practical, hands-on mindset with a willingness to learn
- A team-oriented attitude and clear interpersonal skills
- A strong focus on safety, quality and reliability
- Good knowledge of Dutch (preferably) and English
- Certifications such as VCA, NEN3140, NEN3840 or a willingness to obtain them
- Participation in the breakdown service/on-call rota (approximately once every 6–7 weeks)
- Occasional overtime
- Occasional travel to other Air Products locations in Netherlands/ Europe
- Some maintenance activities may require working at heights or in hard-to-reach areas
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supervising contractors or coordinating maintenance work
