Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, clean, inspect, calibrate, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment throughout the facility. Perform preventive, repair, and calibration maintenance on low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, power transformers, high voltage switchyards, and motor control centers. Execute maintenance tasks for energy from waste boilers, air pollution control systems, and continuous emissions monitoring systems. Diagnose and repair electronic, digital, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while operating calibration equipment, industrial forklifts, and mobile loaders. Initiate work-orders, document critical information, and respond to emergency repairs during off hours. Follow strict safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and hazardous material handling, while working rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in the Industrial or Power Industry Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a 3rd class E&I Technician
- minimum required instrumentation training/experience
- Licenses required as necessary to comply with State, Environmental, and/or Federal regulatory agencies
- licensed as necessary by State, Environmental, and/or Federal regulatory agencies (if Electrician)
