Job Summary
Coordinate daily activities for electrical and instrumentation technicians, lead toolbox meetings, and assign tasks to ensure safe, efficient execution of maintenance and commissioning projects. Troubleshoot complex E&I issues by reviewing PLC logic, HMI information, alarms, and trends to identify root causes and resume production immediately during stoppages. Perform testing, calibration, and minor logic modifications under strict management of change protocols while championing continuous improvement and safety compliance. Manage labor, tools, and materials to minimize disruption, coach team members on troubleshooting methods, and maintain critical spares to drive first-time fixes and equipment reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant industry experience
- Associate's degree in industrial automation
- 3+ years hands on industrial E/I and automation experience
- Extensive exposure to design, construction, commissioning, and operational environments
- Hands-on automation experience with the ability to troubleshoot plant equipment by reviewing PLC logic, HMI/Delta-V information, alarms, interlocks, trends, I/O status, and control sequences
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Vendor specific training certificates (Rockwell/Allen Bradly, Siemens, or Emerson DeltaV)
- Prior experience coordinating E&I technicians or maintenance personnel
