Job Summary
Assume overall responsibility for a profitable, well-constructed, safe E&I project in the Oil and Gas sector, completed in a timely manner. Review project proposals and documents with the team to determine cost-effective construction methods and personnel allocation. Manage project staff, including superintendents and foremen, while enforcing safety as a priority. Coordinate construction activities with owners, subcontractors, and Company personnel, and initiate relationships with engineers and suppliers. Negotiate change orders, prepare budget revisions, and ensure accurate billings and accounts receivables. Organize project coordination meetings, manage closeout processes, and actively participate in internal continuous improvement teams. This role requires 3+ years managing large instrument and electrical construction projects in Oil and Gas.
Required Qualifications
- 3 plus years of experience managing large instrument and electrical construction projects
- Demonstrated success in management of construction projects in the Oil and Gas industry
- Possess working knowledge of all projects plans, specifications, Owner Contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-built drawings
- Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
- Self-motivated with skills to motivate others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk the property and laydown yards
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
