E-Core (Atom) CPU Layout Design Engineer

Job Summary
Independently assess and drive complex digital physical design assignments across multiple stages, interpreting schematics to implement memory compilers, custom IP blocks, and layout partitions. Build and verify physical design hierarchies from leaf-level cell layout to top-level integration while collaborating with circuit design engineers and the CAD team to debug tool functionality. Partner with SoC teams and cross-site groups to ensure alignment, reuse, and consistency across projects. This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Electronic/Microelectronic Engineering with 3+ years of layout design experience, proficiency in UNIX shell scripts, TCL, and Perl, and is based in Malaysia, Penang.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic/Microelectronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 3+ years of experience in layout design
- Familiarity with Very Large Scale of Integration VLSI and Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) logic circuit design
- Proficient programming skills UNIX shell script TCL Perl
