Job Summary
Sort and evaluate donated jewelry to identify valuable costume and fine jewelry for online resale, properly testing pieces containing gemstones or precious metals. Photograph items using an iPhone and web-based e-Commerce tools, then create accurate product titles, descriptions, and listings on online selling platforms. Manage inventory by adding or removing items as needed and meet established daily and weekly sorting and production goals. Use data to support process improvements and assist with packing, shipping, and other e-Commerce functions. Leverage your jewelry knowledge and photography skills to maximize the value of donated goods and support Goodwill's mission of creating employment opportunities in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and/or valuable costume jewelry
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Ability to use an iPhone for product photography and other job-related functions
- Strong spelling, grammar, and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently, maintain productivity, and meet production goals
- Flexibility and willingness to assist with changing business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience selling online through platforms such as eBay, Amazon, or Marketplace
