Job Summary
DZ Driver responsible for transporting and delivering heavy/medium equipment to customers in Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. Tasks include performing daily truck inspections, ensuring loads are properly secured, assisting customers with handling large items, following delivery/pick-up procedures, obtaining customer sign-offs, maintaining inventory/control documents, reporting damages to supervisors, delivering at dock level using roll-off systems, occasionally handling equipment recovery, completing vehicle usage reports, refueling at day’s end, coordinating with Dispatch/Supervisor for non-delivery tasks, and upholding safety standards and PPE requirements. Emphasizes professionalism, customer service, and adherence to SOPs and policies; requires safe driving, load handling, and documented duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of commercial truck driving and delivery experience
- Valid DZ Class Driver’s License with clean Abstract
- Forklift and Heavy Equipment Operators licenses are assets
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to lift and load up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Competencies to include safe driving, ability to reverse a truck using mirrors only, and the ability to raise and lower the hydraulic bed.
- Delivery and pickup may be required for single pieces of equipment, skid steer loaders, multiple smaller scissor lifts, heating equipment, and/or propane
