Job Summary
Drive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites as required, performing daily pre and post trip inspections and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Operate as an active crew member alongside ground crew and foreperson to execute tree pruning, thinning, deadwood removal, cable installation, and hazardous tree removal. Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts while assisting with site setup, debris removal, and cleanup. Adhere strictly to Davey and industry safety policies and procedures. Full-time year-round employment at $20-$25/hour with a comprehensive benefits package, ongoing training, and stock purchase opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid provincial driver's license. AZ or DZ license.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping.
- Arborist certification or willingness to work towards.
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
