Job Summary
Drive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites while performing and logging daily pre and post trip inspections. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and operate as an active crew member assisting with tree pruning, removal, and installation of safety systems. Properly maintain, prepare, and operate tools including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts while abiding by industry safety policies. Assist with job site setup, debris removal, and cleanup. Full-time year-round employment at $20-$25/hour with excellent benefits and ongoing training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid provincial driver's license
- AZ or DZ license
- Clean drivers abstract
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
- Arborist certification or willingness to work towards
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
- Ability to work safely as part of a team
- Possess the willingness to learn and progress
