Job Summary
Drive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites, performing daily pre and post trip inspections and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Operate as an active crew member assisting in tree pruning, thinning, deadwood removal, and installation of cables and bracing systems. Safely maintain and operate tools including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts while supporting job site setup and debris cleanup. Adhere strictly to Davey and industry safety policies throughout all operations. Full-time year-round employment at $20-$25/hour with ongoing training, career advancement, and an excellent benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Valid provincial driver's license. AZ or DZ license.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping.
- Arborist certification or willingness to work towards.
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
