DZ Driver

Job Summary
Deliver a diverse fleet of construction equipment to and from customer jobsites, including aerial, earth-moving, and compaction equipment. Load and unload, secure loads per procedures, and perform thorough pre- and post-inspections with regulatory logs and timesheets. Obtain customer signatures when required, communicate issues to dispatch and management, and maintain accurate delivery/pickup records. Provide basic instruction on safe operation of equipment to customers and keep the truck clean and professional at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class DZ driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points)
- Experience with operation, load securement and transportation of heavy-duty construction equipment on flat-bed trucks is required
- Comfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather/road conditions
- Comfortable with city driving
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs
- Highly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver
- Available and willing to work overtime when required and on an on-call rotation if required
- Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent problem-solving and organization skills
- Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team
