Job Summary
Drive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites as required. Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle, maintaining cleanliness of the truck interior and exterior. Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader, performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully. This includes pruning, thinning, removing deadwood, installing cables and bracing systems, and removing hazardous trees. Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Assist in job site setup, debris removal, and cleanup while abiding by safety policies. Full-time year-round employment at $20-$25/hour with ongoing training and excellent benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid provincial driver's license. AZ or DZ license.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping.
- Arborist certification or willingness to work towards.
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
