Job Summary
Dyslexia Therapist/Teacher to deliver targeted intervention using the Read by Design program in school-based settings in the San Antonio area. Responsibilities include small group or 1:1 instruction in reading, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and spelling; monitor progress with data and adjust instruction; maintain accurate documentation; collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families; participate in ARD/IEP/504 meetings and provide recommendations; ensure instruction and accommodations align with student plans and district guidelines. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education/Special Education, certification as a Dyslexia Therapist/Teacher or valid teaching certification, and experience implementing Read by Design. Flexible, with full-time and part-time placements available, and bi-weekly pay with insurance benefits. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
- Certification as a Dyslexia Therapist/Teacher or valid teaching certification
- Experience implementing the Read by Design program
- Knowledge of evidence-based literacy interventions and dyslexia identification
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and work independently
