Job Summary
Design end-to-end ERP solutions using Microsoft Business Central, defining data flows, system boundaries, and sources of truth while making trade-offs between real-time versus batch processing. Architect robust integration patterns for APIs, EDI (X12/EDIFACT), and file-based integrations connecting eCommerce platforms like Shopify and 3PLs. Structure data models for inventory, order management, and financial flows, resolving inconsistencies and establishing governance. Move from high-level design to direct execution, troubleshooting issues within the system and configuring Business Central for implementations. Lead stakeholder discussions to translate complex topics and drive structured discovery sessions. This role requires strong English proficiency and autonomy to make decisions with minimal dependency.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to design end-to-end ERP solutions (Business Central + integrations)
- Define data flows, system boundaries, and source of truth
- Make trade-offs between real-time vs batch, scalability vs cost
- Strong experience with APIs, EDI (X12/EDIFACT), and file-based integrations
- Ability to design robust integration patterns (retry, monitoring, error handling)
- Experience integrating with eCommerce (e.g., Shopify) and 3PLs
- Deep understanding of inventory, order management, and financial flows
- Ability to structure data models (SKUs, customers, pricing, tax)
- Experience resolving data inconsistencies and defining governance
- Experience configuring Business Central and supporting implementations
- Able to lead discussions, challenge assumptions, and make decisions
- Minimal dependency on others for direction
- Strong accountability for outcomes, not just tasks
- Ability to translate complex topics into simple explanations
- Guide non-technical users through decisions and trade-offs
- Drive structured discovery and alignment sessions
- Someone with consultant profile / functional requirements - development expertise - drove full cycle integration
