Job Summary
Dynamic Simulation Engineer to join Chevron ENGINE in Bengaluru. The role involves dynamic engineering studies to support capital projects and base business, development and maintenance of Operator Training Simulators (OTS), model-based process design, and collaboration with Dynamic Simulation SMEs in Technology, Projects & Execution Facilities Engineering. Responsibilities include performing dynamic simulations for design operability and safety, supporting OTS development from functional design to factory acceptance testing, remote troubleshooting of OTS issues, and R&D exploring physics-based models and digital twins. Required qualifications include 5 years in a dynamic simulation or OTS role, a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, experience with UniSim Design or KSpice, and familiarity with major control systems (Yokogawa Centum VP, Honeywell Experion, Honeywell TPS). Preferred qualifications include 10+ years and broader PLC experience. The posting notes that Chevron cannot sponsor employment visas. Required Qualifications
- 5 years in a dynamic simulation engineer or OTS development engineer role with an owner operator or OTS simulation supplier
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in chemical engineering
- Proven depth in physics based dynamic process simulation including fundamental understanding of physical properties prediction in commercial simulation software for typical Oil and Gas as well as Refining processes
- Experience with UniSim Design or KSpice
- Familiar with analyses, data extraction and configuration of Yokogawa Centum VP, Honeywell Experion, Honeywell TPS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
