Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patient needs and set rehabilitation goals, then manage a caseload of approximately one patient per hour using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Implement individualized treatment plans that utilize manual therapy to enhance movement and mitigate pain while educating patients on self-care and injury prevention protocols. Maintain detailed records of evaluations, progress, and outcomes within the WebPT EMR platform, and collaborate with a team of two physical therapists and one assistant to monitor and adjust care as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia
- clean professional record with no disciplinary measures that could affect practice
- Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques with a focus on orthopedic care
- Ability to design and implement individualized exercise programs based on current evidence-based practices
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Demonstrated skills in patient management and the ability to handle varied caseloads effectively
- Expertise in developing tailored wellness and fitness programs for diverse patient needs
