Job Summary
The IVD Clinical Support / Application Specialist role involves delivering on-site and remote application support for IVD analyzers across hematology, biochemistry, and immunology, including installation assistance, assay validation, and troubleshooting to ensure correct product usage and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include conducting customer and internal training, creating training materials and SOPs, supporting pre-sales activities with product demos and tender input, maintaining detailed validation and visit reports, and serving as a technical interface among customers, service, sales, and factory teams. The position requires strong clinical and application knowledge in IVD, excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to handle customer escalations professionally, and willingness to travel extensively. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related life sciences field and 2–6 years of IVD experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Pathology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or equivalent
- 2–6 years of experience in IVD application support, clinical labs, or diagnostic companies
- Hands-on experience with IVD analyzers and assays is mandatory
- Exposure to customer training, validations, and field support preferred
- Strong clinical and application knowledge in IVD
- Excellent presentation, communication, and training skills
- Ability to handle customer escalations professionally
- Willingness to travel extensively as per business needs
- Good documentation and reporting skills
