Job Summary
Director I Watershed Administration in the City of Atlanta overseeing finance, IT & GIS, environmental policy, and water/wastewater programs. Responsibilities include budgeting, revenue/financial planning, payroll, inter-jurisdictional billing, grant writing and management, policy development, personnel and fiscal management, and public relations. Leads a group of professionals or managers, reports to senior department leadership, and ensures compliance with laws and regulatory requirements while coordinating cross-functionally to deliver potable water and manage wastewater services 365 days a year. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Public Administration (or related field) and 7–10 years in environmental engineering or municipal government with at least 5 years in a managerial role; Wastewater and Water Operator Class I License is required. Preferred include a Master’s degree and 10+ years in related roles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Public Administration or in a related field
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years in environmental engineering, municipal government sector, or water / wastewater plant operations with at least 5 years' of experience as a manager, supervisor, team leader, etc.
- Wastewater and Water Operator Class I License required
