DVT Engineer – Liquid Cooling

Job Summary
Execute Design Verification Tests (DVT) and Factory Witness Testing (FWT) by setting up, operating, and monitoring liquid cooling systems during second shift operations. Configure instrumentation, collect and document test data, and troubleshoot real-time alarms or faults related to test setup and system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support validation activities, assist with prototype builds, and conduct root-cause investigations for test failures. Maintain detailed shift logs, organize lab spaces using 5S practices, and refine test procedures to improve efficiency and repeatability. Requires 1–4 years of test engineering experience, ability to travel up to 30% on short notice, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 1–4 years of experience in test engineering, lab operations, or product validation
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and basic electrical schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%, including to domestic and international lab and testing locations
- Must have flexibility to travel on short notice
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with thermal systems, liquid cooling, or HVAC equipment
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation
- Exposure to ASHRAE testing or similar performance validation methods
- Experience supporting Factory Witness Testing (FWT) or customer-facing test activities
- Basic understanding of controls systems or PLC operation
- Prior experience working across multiple lab or plant sites
