Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Domestic Violence & Supportive Housing program, including HUD Rapid Re-Housing and Domestic Violence Homeless Prevention projects. Provide leadership and coaching to the Assistant Director, ensuring the case management team implements a trauma-informed, client-driven approach. Support staff in resolving complex client grievances, oversee program evaluation and needs assessments, and manage statistical reports for community education and contractual agreements. Coordinate with Fairfax County's DSVS and OPEH to promote interagency collaboration, develop new program initiatives, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Serve in an on-call capacity for crisis issues and deliver presentations to external parties as requested.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in human services / related field or commensurate experience
- 3+ years of human services or direct services experience
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities and make sound judgements
- Ability to advocate, assist in problem-solving, and achieve results for families
- Ability to deliver creative, resourceful solutions to unique challenges
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation/10-15% local travel for appointments
- Ability to drive minivan
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed
- Annual TB Test is required
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Ability to lift items weighing 10-20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- A master's degree in human services / related field
- Experience leading / supporting programs serving victims of domestic violence
