Job Summary

Lead the Division of Veterinary Resources as Director and Attending Veterinarian, overseeing animal care, regulatory compliance, AAALAC accreditation, IACUC/IBC governance, and collaboration with principal investigators; provide veterinary medical care and guidance on procedures, build and direct strategic operations for multiple animal facilities, ensure high-quality care and compliance, and engage with stakeholders across a major research university.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution
  • Current veterinary license in at least one U.S. state
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida within 6 months of employment
  • USDA veterinary accreditation
  • Board certification by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) or equivalent
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience
  • Ten (10) years of experience in laboratory animal medicine and animal care programs with leadership/strategic planning/regulatory compliance preferred
