Job Summary
Gather histories, perform physical examinations, develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans, scrub in to surgery, assist in medical case management, provide wellness care, and produce SOAP medical records under veterinary supervision. Rotate through days, evenings, and weekends for two to eight weeks, with a typical duration of two to three weeks, while earning a stipend of $250 per week. Work alongside the veterinary team to participate in all aspects of patient care, including client communication and technical skill development, while adhering to the Veterinary Practice Act and maintaining professional liability insurance. You will be assigned a mentor to guide learning objectives and receive a written performance evaluation upon completion.
Required Qualifications
- Be enrolled in an accredited DVM program
- You are authorized to work in the United States
- You must carry professional liability insurance
