Job Summary
Provide direct service via telephone hotline counseling, safety planning, and individual advocacy using an educative, trauma-informed model. Manage client service plans, conduct intakes, arrange transportation, and offer education on community resources. Supervise and train volunteers, maintain electronic counseling records, and submit statistics and reports. Assist clients with legal options, accompany them to hearings, and advocate for Protection From Abuse petitions. Report child abuse as a mandated reporter and establish cooperative relationships with community and legal systems. Participate in outreach, fundraising, and systems advocacy for the Lethality Assessment Program. Maintain daily data collection, monitor resource consumption, and ensure facility and client confidentiality. Complete required trainings and exhibit reliable attendance for every other weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Translatable work experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to provide on-going supervision, training, and professional development
- Collaborate with peers and other departments within the agency
- Working knowledge of community resources
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient computer, Internet, and email skills
- Ability to work shifts that support a 24/7 operation
- Possess current PA driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint processed in accordance with Public Law 92-522 and the Child Protective Services Law (Title 23, Pa C.S. Chapter 63), Federal Criminal History Background Check
