Job Summary
Lead safe, efficient station operations during assigned shifts by making timely decisions on staffing, irregular operations, and changing priorities while balancing safety and service. Coordinate resources across workgroups, direct and coach Operational Supervisors, and champion a safety-first culture through compliance audits and investigations into operational events. Monitor performance indicators, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and prepare reports to support station goals. Maintain productive relationships with customers, partners, and vendors while exercising independent judgment to address emerging issues. Work any shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure reliable execution of McGee's ground handling services.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of operational experience in the airline, aviation, transportation, or related industry
- 1 year of leadership experience leading frontline teams in a fast-paced operational environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple workgroups, prioritize competing demands, and make sound decisions under pressure
- Experience coaching, developing, and holding leaders accountable for operational performance
- Strong knowledge of operational safety practices and regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and build collaborative working relationships
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established guidelines
- Ability to influence others, work cross-functionally, and contribute positively to a team-oriented, safety-first culture
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work any shift, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge issued by the airport authority
- Must obtain a US Customs seal and/or USPS security clearance (depending on role)
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must successfully complete a drug test
- Must successfully complete a driving record review
- Must successfully complete employment verification
