Duty Manager (Front Office)

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations of the Front Office department and assist the Room Division Manager to run an operationally smooth department. Deliver excellent guest service by coordinating the link between hotel and guests and hotel operations. Analyse guest feedback and advise leadership on actions to enhance hotel services and offerings. Maintain guest database via Opera Cloud and ensure VIP levels align with hotel link. Ensure safety and security of guests and employees; manage cash/credit procedures and guest confidentiality. Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays is required. Requires experience in front office roles in hotels; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management/Tourism is advantageous; knowledge of Opera PMS/Cloud and Micros; NZ Managers Certificate License; NZ First Aid Level 1 or willingness to obtain; NZ Driver's License; strong communications and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management/Tourism (NZ or international equivalent)
- Must hold a current New Zealand Managers Certificate License
- Holds a current New Zealand First Aid Certificate (at least Level 1) or is willing to get one
- Current Full & Clean New Zealand Drivers License
