Job Summary
Duty Manager for the Front Office at ibis Styles Mount Isa. Oversee daily Front Office operations, supervise and train team members, resolve guest concerns promptly, manage escalations, ensure compliance with brand standards and safety procedures, support cash handling and shift reports, drive guest engagement and loyalty program enrolment, collaborate with other departments, and cover a rotating 7-day roster including morning, evening, and overnight shifts. Requires 2+ years in a similar role, an Approved Manager Licence and RSA certification; familiarity with Opera PMS is preferred. Strong leadership, guest-service mindset, and the ability to mentor teams in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (e.g., Front Office GSA, Supervisor, or Duty Manager)
- Approved Manager Licence
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Experience with Opera PMS (preferred but not essential)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Exceptional customer service and leadership abilities
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
