Job Summary
Dutch Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor provides virtual distance-learning instruction across foreign language proficiency in L/R/S, plus regional/cultural instruction. Responsibilities include delivering virtual lessons to improve listening, reading, and speaking per DLPT/OPI/ILR standards, developing lesson plans and materials, assessing student progress, maintaining an engaging virtual environment, and collaborating with Managers to address curriculum gaps. English-language qualifications include DO TL/TOEFL/ECL/ACTFL OPI options; target-language qualifications require ILR 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High with demonstrated proficiency via DLIFLC assessments, OPI, or ACTFL certification. Desired qualifications emphasize experience with online platforms (CL-150, Adobe Connect, Canvas, Moodle), adult-learner instruction, blended-learning lesson development, and a Bachelor's Degree.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Native or near-native proficiency in the foreign language (ILR 3/3/3)
- Experience delivering virtual language instruction
- Understanding of regional cultural, social, political environment
- Ability to create blended-learning lessons tailored to customer needs
- Access to computer with Windows, webcam, headset, internet
- Formal study of English with recognized English-language proficiency (TOEFL/TOEFL iBT, ECL, ACTFL OPI)
- Proficiency in the target language (ILR level 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High) or higher
- DLPT/OPI-based demonstrations or ACTFL-certified interview options
- Bachelor's Degree in desired qualifications

- Ability to tailor lessons to customer needs

- DLIFLC or ACTFL-certified/OPI-based assessment familiarity
