Job Summary
Operate commercial vehicles in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and company policies, performing complete pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, and safety equipment are functional. Transport materials from job sites to disposal sites, assist crews, and prepare, load, and transport large mobile containers to customer locations. Maintain a clean work area, report unsafe situations or incidents immediately, and attend all required training programs. Navigate high-traffic roadways and tight overhead environments while executing highly skilled backing maneuvers. Requires a valid Class A or B CDL license, standard transmission operation, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a dusty, noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Valid driver's license
- Must know how to drive a standard transmission
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One to three years experience driving
- Valid CDL: Class A or Class B Driver with minimum 1 to 3 years experience based on position hired
- Dump truck Class B CDL with 1-year previous experience
- Roll off Class A or B CDL with 1 to 2 years previous experience
- Low Boy/Tractor trailer Class A CDL with 2 3 years previous experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance of duty on secured locations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for weekends as needed
- Must be able to strap, chain, and tarp loads as needed
- Must be able to drive combination vehicles over 26,000 lbs.
- Must be able to tow trailers over 10,000 lbs.
- Must be able to operate heavy-duty trucks
- Must be able to prepare, load, and transport large mobile open top and compactor containers
- Must be able to operate in tight overhead environments
- Must be able to perform highly skilled backing maneuvers
- Must be able to work under multiple time constraints
- Must be able to navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, high traffic roadways and industrial routes
