Job Summary
Check in items from orders using a handheld scanner and verify merchandise matches the order. Identify and locate products across ambient, chilled, and frozen categories while monitoring order processing to ensure customers receive all charged items. Bag groceries into bins, push filled carts to the back room, and load them onto delivery trucks with correct staging. Train, schedule, and supervise Personal Shoppers while maintaining store and back room cleanliness. Adhere to all daily routines for legal compliance and follow company customer service procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow company customer service procedures
- Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience
- Ability to interact with customers and co-workers
- Ability to train teams of people
- Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Safeway is highly desirable
