Job Summary
Manage due diligence efforts for potential land acquisitions by preparing feasibility studies, budgets, entitlement schedules, risk assessments, and title reviews. Exercise ownership of initial community entitlement documents, construction schedules, cash flow projections, and vendor evaluations. Coordinate with outside consultants, architects, and engineers to assess project costs, risks, and development timing while engaging with state and federal agencies to characterize obligations. Prepare collateral material including aerial photos and maps, and maintain the file database for the land department. This role supports the land acquisition team and new land opportunities within Lennar's land development process.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Preferred emphasis in engineering, construction management, economics, finance, or a related real estate field
- Five (5) years of experience minimum in land development, project management and/or land acquisition positions with residential or land development firms or consulting firms serving real estate industry clients
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office especially in the use of Excel spreadsheets and formulas for financial modeling, Microsoft PowerPoint, various Adobe platforms, and/or Bluebeam
- Valid Driver's License
- Good driving record
- Valid auto insurance coverage
- Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours
- Ability to work more than eight hours per day as needed
- Finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
