Job Summary
Conduct in-home consultation visits to inspect homes for hidden duct leaks, poor airflow, insulation gaps, and inadequate ventilation. Utilize MeasureQuick software and specialized tools to measure airflow, check system pressures, and evaluate indoor air quality. Clearly communicate observations regarding comfort, efficiency, and air quality impacts to homeowners. Prepare detailed sales proposals offering multiple effective solutions and guide clients through completed installations. Maintain tool and vehicle cleanliness while adhering to strict safety protocols and PPE standards. Deliver respectful customer service throughout the sales process. Travel regularly to customer locations, with appointments potentially occurring in evenings or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- HVAC technical training/certification
- Minimum 3 years' sales experience in HVAC, insulation, home performance, or related fields
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor as customers expect from a Knight!
- May involve evenings or weekend appointments
- Regular travel to customer locations
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing ladders
- Maneuvering tight attic spaces
- Working safely in extreme attic temperatures
Desired Qualifications
- NATE Certification
- Heat Pump Certification
- A2L Certification
- Familiarity with CRM or digital service management platforms
