Job Summary
Assist Community Manager in hiring, inspecting, counseling, and promoting staff levels as directed by Regional Manager, while teaching skills and scheduling work. Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring common areas are safe, in repair, and clean, performing preventive maintenance for pools, parking lots, and building exteriors. Make capital improvement recommendations, order parts for repairs, and respond to all service requests within 24 hours. Visit competing properties to inspect maintenance quality and continually educate staff on OSHA guidelines and safe working conditions. Typical hours vary based on community needs and may include weekends and after-hour emergency services. Requires hands-on knowledge of apartment maintenance, leadership skills, and basic HVAC knowledge with CFC certification within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on working knowledge of typical apartment maintenance tasks
- Leadership skills and ability to deal effectively with customers/residents
- Basic knowledge of HVAC
- One year as a Maintenance Supervisor with professional management firm or six months assistant with Peak Living
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to communicate in English
- Must become CFC certified within 90 days of employment
