Job Summary
Framingham Public Schools seeks a Dual Language Spanish Social Studies Teacher for Walsh Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires delivering high-quality instruction aligned with Massachusetts frameworks, supporting student achievement and SEL, and serving as an instructional leader to advance equity and inclusion. Core duties include designing and delivering instruction with Universal Design for Learning, implementing formative and summative assessments, analyzing data to drive instruction, maintaining proper records, and collaborating with families, PLCs, and multidisciplinary teams to support students across grade 5-12. The candidate must hold a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in History/Social Science (Grades 5-12) with a Bilingual Endorsement (or Middle School Humanities with Bilingual Endorsement), possess a Bachelor's Degree (Master’s preferred), and demonstrate bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching License in History/Social Science (Grades 5-12) and Bilingual Endorsement; or Middle School: Humanities (Grades 5-8) and Bilingual Endorsement.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or a related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Professional experience in education; ability to work in diverse settings
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
