Job Summary
Oversee all accounting and financial functions for the Homewood Suites by Hilton Carle Place and SpringHill Suites by Marriott Carle Place, including monthly financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, cash management, and bank reconciliations while ensuring timely month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain internal controls, coordinate audits, and analyze labor costs and operating expenses to support decision-making and profitability. Review daily revenue reporting, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and partner with General Managers on budgeting and expense management. Serve as the primary financial resource for hotel leadership and corporate partners.
Required Qualifications
- Hotel accounting or hospitality finance experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of hotel financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
- Experience with payroll review, cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable business recommendations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with hotel accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with hotel and corporate leadership
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities across two hotel properties
- Flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, and respond to business needs as necessary
Desired Qualifications
