Job Summary
Deliver advanced Fire Risk Assessments across complex and higher-risk premises, conduct general Health & Safety risk assessments aligned with UK legislation, and provide specialist fire safety consultancy, including evacuation strategies and fire management arrangements. Candidates must demonstrate advanced competence in Fire Risk Assessment, possess registration on the NFRAR at Advanced level or be working towards it. Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and experience with complex buildings are essential, along with Health & Safety risk assessment capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable advanced competence in Fire Risk Assessment and fire safety consultancy
- Registration on the National Fire Risk Assessors Register (NFRAR) at Advanced level (or working towards equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, including Fire Safety Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021, and Building Safety Act 2022
- Experience assessing complex buildings, ideally including higher-risk residential environments
- Health & Safety risk assessment capability with recognised qualification (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)
- Excellent reporting and stakeholder communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desired Qualifications
- Professional memberships (IFE, IFSM, IOSH or similar)
- Consultancy or engineering background
- Experience contributing to fire strategy or technical compliance programmes
