DST Truck Mechanic A-shift (Springdale, L.H. Garage)

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Must have 3 months of employment in the last 6 months with a single company
• •Must be 18 years of age or older
• •Must have a valid driver's license
• •Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months
• •Must be able and willing to provide their own tools by the end of 90-day probation period
• •Must be able to read and interpret instructions, manuals, and schematics
• •Must have basic math skills
• •Must have basic computer skills
• •Must be able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned equipment
• •Must be able to effectively communicate with all transportation personnel including managers, drivers, and clerks
• •Must be able to diagnose and repair our truck engine and systems with our diagnostic programs
• •Must be able to perform minor structural welding and cutting tasks
• •Must show proficiency in standard preventive maintenance (PM1's, PM2's for trucks or trailers depending on mechanic classification)
• •Must have Brake Inspector Certification
• •Must have Wheel end class/Certification
• •Must have Basic Electrical
• •Must be able to identify fault codes
• •Must be willing and able to meet the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• •Must pass MVR check

Desired Qualifications

• •Prior Tyson Team members are eligible for rehire after completing a 180-day waiting period
• •Prior Tyson Team members cannot have worked 3 times or more for Tyson Foods
