Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Sanford, ME area for 20+ hours/week at Family First Developmental Disability Solutions. Follow detailed client-specific support plans; provide domestic support tasks (cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling medical appointments, shopping, transportation, housing management); support community inclusion and access to social activities; ensure health and safety; complete proper documentation per state guidelines using ClearCare/Well Sky; benefits include health insurance stipend, 401K, paid training, and opportunities for overtime; requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work with clients with developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- One year of Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience. Alternatively, experience in the health and human services field, including roles as an educational technician, is also preferred.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. as well as proof of completion.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Pass a criminal, drug, and background check.
- Own a smartphone.
- Able to keep online records and communicate via email.
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
- DSP Certificate required
- Have or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other training as required per state of Maine or clients’ Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
- Have or be willing to obtain up-to-date, CDC-recommended immunizations for healthcare workers including: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B and Seasonal Influenza.
