Job Summary
DSP Software Engineer Lead responsible for conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting embedded communication systems software using DSP methodologies. Lead role focusing on applying communication theory to develop innovative solutions with C++ OO design, DSP algorithms, FPGA design, and toolchains (MATLAB/Simulink). Requires strong background in modulation/demodulation, digital filters, baseband sampling, acquisition and tracking algorithms, and Forward Error Correction; familiarity with EW concepts and FPGA soft processors; security-clearance eligibility and US citizenship. Relocation assistance provided for Salt Lake City role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree with significant experience in DSP and software development
- 9+ years of related experience or 7+ years with graduate degree, or 13 years in lieu of a degree
- Experience implementing DSP algorithms in software, FPGA design, and software with C++
- Knowledge of modulation/demodulation, digital filters, baseband sampling, acquisition, tracking, FEC
- Security Clearance eligibility; U.S. citizens; may be subject to government security investigation(s)
- Relocation offered for Salt Lake City
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink; Git; laboratory debug techniques
- Embedded communication systems software development and troubleshooting
