Job Summary
Provide companionship, care, and support to a young male with developmental disabilities in the Waxhaw, NC area. Assist with home living environments, facilitate community integration, and help develop healthy social habits. Transport and accompany the individual to day programs, work sites, and community activities. Dispense medication and monitor dosages while identifying and acquiring valued social roles. Work approximately 16 hours weekly from Monday through Thursday between 2:45pm and 6:45pm. This role includes paid training hours and state-mandated training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screen
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
