Job Summary
Ensure appropriate supervision, health, and safety of individuals while implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight. Advocate for individuals in the community for medical appointments, recreation, and activities; transport them for home visits and social skill development. Administer prescribed medications and assist with daily living skills including hygiene, food preparation, and shopping. Maintain facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards through cleaning, meal planning, and fire safety training. Complete daily progress notes, logs, and documentation of goals while observing and reporting unusual behaviors. Remain on shift until relief arrives and attend required workshops and trainings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications preferred
