Job Summary
Supervise individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight and ensuring health and safety. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills including hygiene and meal preparation, and advocate for community access such as medical appointments and recreational activities. Maintain facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards while documenting progress in daily logs and logs. Transport individuals for home visits and social skill development, observe unusual behaviors, and report concerns to clinical staff. Remain on shift until relief arrives and maintain current certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
