Job Summary
Supervise and ensure the health and safety of individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing their Individual Plan of Protective Oversight. Administer prescribed medications, assist with daily living skills like hygiene and meal preparation, and facilitate skill training in areas such as fire safety and social skills. Advocate for individuals in the community for medical appointments, recreation, and home visits while transporting them as needed. Maintain facility compliance with OPWDD and COA standards through cleaning, documentation of progress notes, and observation of unusual behaviors. Remain on shift until relief arrives and complete required certifications in CPR, first aid, SCIP, and AMAP. Maintain a valid driver's license with 6 points or less.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver's License with 6 points or less
- Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid Certifications preferred
