DSP Rig Welder

Job Summary
Weld metal parts as specified by layout or welding diagram (blue prints, engineering drawings and weld specifications); fabricate and assemble fixtures, tooling, shop aids and other devises for special projects; ensure quality of welds and rework as required; perform basic troubleshooting of weld machines and accessories; provide data for cause and failure analysis; take part in planning and scheduling within work systems; Journeyman Welder (Red Seal preferred); CWB Certification; MIG/FCAW/SMAW experience; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; adverse test requirements including a negative pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
Required Qualifications
- Welding metal parts per layout or welding diagram
- Fabricate and assemble fixtures and tooling for projects
- Ensure quality of welds and rework as required
- Troubleshoot weld machines and accessories
- Provide data for cause and failure analysis
- Participate in planning and scheduling within work systems
- Journeyman Welder (Red Seal preferred)
- CWB Certification
- MIG welding experience
- FCAW
- SMAW
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
