Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Skill Creations, Inc. facilities provides care to individuals with physical/medical, behavioral, cognitive, and independent-living support needs. Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration, helping with independent living skills, transporting/accompanying individuals to community activities and appointments, and providing CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management training. The role offers both full-time and part-time shifts across multiple time slots (including nights), with a starting hourly wage of $17.60 for full- and part-time positions (PRN/back-up at $17.00). Requires a High School diploma or GED, Criminal Record Check, a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management coursework, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Must be punctual with attendance and able to work in various schedules, including weekends and holidays. Locations: Wilson, North Carolina, USA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited school is required.
- Criminal Record Check
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving is required.
- Course work will be required for successful completion of CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management.
- Basic computer skills are needed for e-mail, electronic training modules and recording data.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and the work occasionally requires balancing, bending, stooping and kneeling.
