Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Relief provides direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential settings. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care and hygiene (toileting, transfers, dining, showering, dressing), helping individuals develop daily living and community integration skills, maintaining a safe and supportive residential environment, completing household tasks (cleaning, laundry, meal prep, shopping, snow shoveling, groundskeeping), and ensuring accurate documentation in line with agency policies. Work closely with Residential Managers and other DSPs to promote independence and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Qualifications emphasize a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, CORI clearance, First Aid and CPR certifications, MAP Certification, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the capacity to assist individuals with specific needs; prior experience in developmental disabilities or related human services is preferred.
