Job Summary
Provide both staff and natural supports and implement services for individuals with developmental disabilities in group homes. Support residents in managing their home, finances, nutrition, and medical needs while ensuring residential settings meet physical standards. Work with the Group Home Manager on individual goals and ensure all persons served are free from abuse or neglect. Transport residents in agency or personal vehicles whenever necessary. Maintain current CPR, First Aid, PMT, and Medication Certification, completing all required training within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Driver's License
- Vehicle with current CT registration
- Vehicle insurance
- High School Diploma
- Ability to obtain CT license, auto-registration, and vehicle insurance
- Knowledge of proactive thinking and positive supports
- Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and driving
- Ability to lift and transfer up to 30 lbs
- Ability to lift and transfer nonambulatory people occasionally
